Sketch Dump! Iron Man and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Hello!

Got some sketches here – nothing fancy, just a few drawings from Iron Man (movie and comic verse) plus a Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang sketch. Enjoy!

"Work Break"(Tony/Rhodey) Click to enlarge

Ennui cannot draw cars. Ennui cannot draw hands. Looking back on this, I should have stuck Dummy in the background. Opportunity lost.

"Love You" (Tony/Steve) Click to enlarge

Hell, there are so many problems with the anatomy in this picture. Oh, and don’t ask me why Tony is on his knees, although I think it bodes well for Steve.

"Iron Man" (Gen) Click to enlarge

Just a sketch of flying Iron Man. I wanted to practice drawing robots and mechanical things.

"Please Hang On!" (Harry/Perry) Click to enlarge

In addition to hands and cars, I also cannot draw Val Kilmer. Still, I kinda like this one. Poor Harry. Poor Perry. *Cuddles them*.

Hope you liked!

I died a little inside the first time I read the word "pepperony" and anyone who actually uses it seriously is dead to me

A dollar says that whoever first thought it up is from Smallville fandom (Clex is bearable as a ship name, but Chlark? Bruois? Chloliver? Kill me now).

Any movie-verse fic containing Pepper/Tony is dead to me at this point -- it's petty of me, I know, but the pairing name has pretty much killed the pairing for me, because OMG it sounds so stupid. It doesn't help that I'm an old school Iron Man fan (i.e. a long-time comics reader) and thus a Pepper/Happy shipper.

I was about to say, maybe it was SGA fandom (see: McShep AKJSFNKSJDN) but then I realised SV has been going on longer than SGA so you are quite possibly correct! I got a dollar around here somewhere...

Yeah, I'm a bit the same way, but not to your extent. I'm lucky in that after seeing the movie a million times I went on LJ to find out where all the fans were, and the first thing I found was [livejournal.com profile] cap_ironman and the second thing I found was the shipmanifesto you wrote and so I was pretty much a Steve/Tony fan from then on <.< I have read some really well done Pepper/Tony-ish stuff that seems (as someone who is still working out comics canon) to be reasonably canonical where it plays out kind of like the movie and she doesn't end up going out with him or whatever, but I mainly claw at my screen and wait for people to post Steve/Tony.

I'd like to think that I'm turned off from the ship by the fact that it reduces the title's one long-running female character to "the hero's girlfriend" or something meaningful like that, because it would make me sound less shallow, but I'm pretty sure it's entirely the name "Pepperony," and that if that term had never appeared I'd have no issues with the pairing.

I have read some really well done Pepper/Tony-ish stuff that seems (as someone who is still working out comics canon) to be reasonably canonical where it plays out kind of like the movie and she doesn't end up going out with him or whatever

After the amount of time Pepper's spent dealing weith all of Tony's dates and one night stands and general attitude, it's probably more realistic that they never get together. Though a good writer could sell me on the two of them in current comics canon (a sort of "both of them have lost the one great love of their lives, and all they have left is each other" scenario).

Mm, it's true, I did start reading stuff like that until I came across the first usage :( Although I guess that was about the time I discovered Steve/Tony, so maybe we'll never know ;)

Pepper's seen what Tony's like with girls, and she's not dumb; it makes sense that she wouldn't want to be like the others. :nods: I... need to catch up with current comics canon :(
