The Perils of Celebrating with Alcohol
Sep. 8th, 2007 03:03 pmSo, I took my nursing exam yesterday. Absolutely aced it. I expect to be getting my letter of acceptance by mid-October. Call for celebration, right? Break out the booze?
Oh, how I wish that I hadn’t…
Most of last night is in bits and pieces. I know I ate dinner (because I remember it coming back up later on) and I know I hung out and watched TV before I started to feel bad (though I don’t remember what). One thing does stand out in my memory. Absolutely exhilarated at my success, I remember going on the internet and purchasing an expensive, nerdy bit of fan – memorabilia that I’d had my eye on for a while. I had refrained from buying it before because a) I don’t have 340 dollars to drop at will and b) what the hell would I do with a large piece of replicate weaponry?
At any rate, this should be delivered in about six weeks. Any thoughts on what I should do with it?

Honestly, I’m not that upset about it. Sure, I’m wincing at the loss of cash, but it is kinda cool, and I’m having little moments of nerd-squee thinking of it's arival. I’m actually more upset about the absolutely horrific hangover I’ve been suffering all morning.
